2007 Flora Springs Trilogy - USA, California, Napa Valley (9/1/2014)
This shows dark fruit, dried herbs, and a strong tobacco note on both the nose and palate. Medium-to-full bodied with prominent spicy oak on the shortish finish. This would likely benefit from another year or two in the cellar, but much longer than that and I worry that the oak will be too much for the fruit as it recedes. A lighter touch with the oak would result in a better wine. (90 pts.)
