Asia Lamb Strips

600g leg of lamb/ lamb hip

50ml soy sauce

30ml sesame oil

20g ginger

3 tbsp cumin

1 tbsp coriander seeds

1 clove garlic

1 bunch cilantro

mint leaves

50ml sunflower oil

4 shallots in strips



1. Cut the meat in strips


2. Put the strips into a bowl. Add soy sauce, sesame oil and chopped ginger.  Add clingfilm and put in the fridge for several hours.


3. Shortly before cooking roast the cumin and coriander seeds in a pan for 1-2min.


4.  Add the roasted spices to the meat and combine.

5. Heat the sunflower oil and sauté the meat on high heat for a few minutes.

6.  Remove the meat and add chopped garlic and shallots and sauté.


7.  Add the meat back to the pan and combine.


8. Finally add chopped cilantro and mint

9. Serve with rice.  ENJOY
